Red Baldy Polled Purebred. This bull’s dam is a first calving, Top
Gun daughter who is also a sister to our 135Y bull selling as lot
6 in this sale. Mahovlich comes from a great cow family and was
our only King Arthur calf born last year. For a heifer’s first calf, he
sure performed well – with an adjusted yearling weight of 1460
lbs and he is gaining 4.62 lbs/day. 113Y is a deep ribbed, soggy
bull who has a real presence about him. He has a nice white face
and should leave some chrome on his calves for that Simmental
look that means “payday” at the auction mart.

Black Scurred Purebred. Stashny is a good, low set, big ribbed fella
that we think could be used on heifers. With an easy 91 lb birth
weight and out of a moderate, high volumed cow that we purchased
from the Maxwells at the National Trust in 2008, her own dam is a
Black Joker daughter and is one Maxwell’s best black cows. Her
first calf, a heifer, sold at a following National Trust sale for $4000
to Maple Lake Stock Farms in Manitoba. Stashny is sired by RF
Torque who we own in partnership with Outlaw Cattle Co. and Sevcik
Simmentals. Torque was named Grand Champion Simmental Bull
at Olds Fair this past fall and went on to be an Agribition Top Ten
finalist in the Supreme. Stashny is a fine example of what Torque
can do – from a great sire and one of our top black cows, he will be
an asset for his new owner!

Black Blaze Polled Purebred. We saved our two black calves for the end of our offering – which has nothing to do with quality, just color. Chelios has a very unique pedigree - he is sired by a Red Texas
son, Dirty Harry, who was bought through this sale in 2010 for $7750 by Sven & Rhonda Nielson (we retained a semen interest in him and are thrilled with our heifer replacements), and his dam is a
daughter of Power Stroke who is a great udder cow that always works hard to raise big calves. 161Y is performing well with a balanced set of EPD’s, he is a long, wide topped, good hipped bull. He has
an attractive blaze face – his calves, steers or heifers, will have great style and substance to them!
