Red Homozygous Polled Purebred. Sakic’s dam, 202S, is a female we own
with Mader Ranches. After being undefeated in the show ring in 2009, Double
Bar D purchased a flush out of the Agribition sale from the partnership. Only
because the Dimlers opened up their semen tank and allowed the use of their
impressive Spring Creek Teddy 72U sire on the split flush, can we sell Sakic
in this sale with such great genetics behind him! In the Bull Spectrum sale
last year, three brothers to 101Y averaged $4200 – the two sisters we’ve sold
so far have averaged over $20,000. Lady 202S is our model female and is
obviously leading our donor program. Sakic was raised by a first calf heifer
and has performed very well – he is gaining 4.75 lbs/day and has nice balanced EPDs. His calving ease number is +7.8 and he has a birth wt EPD of -0.4 (the top 10% of the breed), with an easy 87
lb birth weight and the fact that he was born 2 weeks early, is a very strong indication of his usefulness in the heifer pen. Sakic is well balanced, has good muscle expression, he has an awesome hair
coat and is HOMO POLLED. We are very high on him and believe he has a long, bright future ahead of him!

Red Polled Purebred. Our only Texas son and he is a good one! His dam, 07N, is one of our top donors – she is a homo polled, Red Reality daughter whose daughters we keep and whose sons make
herd sires. Lake Bottom Cattle Co owns one - CMS Unique who we also have used and whose seven sons averaged $6800 for us in last year’s sale. Huxley Colony owns another brother who has really
worked well and is a carcass quality leader for them, and Michelsons from Sask. bought a full brother to Seimenko in 2010 for $4000. Just look at 119Y’s performance numbers – an adj. yearling weight
of 1513 lbs (his actual weight on Dec. 28 was 1390 lbs @ 11 months of age), he’s gaining 4.53 lbs/day with a WPDA of 4.05 lbs/day. Seimenko is a very long bodied, heavy muscled bull who will make
an impressive herd bull, He does have small button scurrs. Again, he is backed by one of our greatest cows and one of Virginia Ranch’s best red herd sires – Red Texas.
