Order Buying
In that Transcon has always been a national sales management company, it is not possible or practical for prospective buyers to attend all or many of our auction sales. The order buying service (which is free of charge to the buyer) allows buyers to be represented just as though they were there. It works like this:
You contact Transcon telling one of the staff what you may be interested in. That person will do research to determine the best choices for you and will recommend them to you. The Transcon rep may even recommend animals in a different sale that may be better suited. The actual bidding can be handled in two ways:
- If convenient, you can be on the phone and actually do your own bidding. Because of the noise and speed of the auction, this can often be confusing to the buyer which can result in not getting the bid to the auctioneer in time and getting sold out.
- Informing the Transcon rep prior to the sale of your choice and the maximum you are prepared to pay for specific animals. That rep will bid on your behalf just as if you were there. You will own the animal one bid higher than the last bid in the crowd, up to your maximum price.
We would be pleased to represent you with our professional, confidential, order buying services.
