Red Polled Purebred. We called this bull Getzlaf because he
loves to play – he always comes to see you when you go into
the pen! Another very complete son of 375T, Getzlaf has one of
the best dams in our herd – BGF 22K. She has put every son
through this sale – counting 132Y, that would be seven, with last
years Unique sired son going to Wade Hannah at Didsbury for
$4900. Consistency built in, Getzlaf has plenty of performance
and is gaining well over 4 lbs/day. A bit lighter colored bull, he
could work very well in a commercial herd with a Charolais or
Red Angus influence – sons or daughters from this guy will be
the right kind!

Red Blaze Polled Purebred. Dryden would be a grandson of the
mother of the 132Y bull – one of only three daughters the 22K cow
produced. Dryden’s dam is also the mother of CMS Red Polled
Icon, who as I said before, is owned by Rendezvous Farms in
Manitoba. What a genetic package – WLB 375T’s sire is a full
brother to Wheatland Red Teddy, 145Y’s dam is one of our donors who raised perhaps the greatest bull we have made – Icon! Dryden not
only has all that going for him, but he is also just a good, well balanced bull who comes with that Simmental “money strip” – the blaze face!

Red Scurred Purebred. Our youngest bull offered this year – just
anApril 26th calf who was weaned along with the other bulls when
he was just over 4 months old! We think this guy will be a calving
ease sire, with a C.E. EPD of +8.5 and a birth weight EPD of
+1.1 (the breeds top 20% and 25%), he will work very well on a
group of heifers that need to be bred in May or June – not all of
us want to calve in January!! Fleury himself, started out at just
88 lbs, but has an adjusted yearling weight of 1492 lbs and has
gained 4.24 lbs/day. He is a very thick, well muscled calf that,
as he matures, will be impressive. His dam is a very big ribbed,
well uddered Icon daughter that we really like.
