Backstage Pass
’ is out of one helluva cow!! She was our daughter’s 4H heifer project. In
the summer of 2003, Allison showed
‘Lucy
’ at the YCS show in Olds. Being a full Fleckvieh, she did not
show well against the Red & Black heifers, and she stood last in her class. My daughter was very disap-
pointed, and I told her, “the real show ring is the sale ring, Ally, so don’t be upset.” This fall Allison wanted
to enter
‘Lucy’s’
bred heifer into our fall sale string, as she is in college now. I told her that heifer couldn’t
leave the place…so I had to buy the heifer myself…it cost us $10,000. Have a good long look at this bull…
