When I first saw Crosby at the Kopp Farms bull sale in 2010, I knew we
needed to buy a semen pack on him. Crosby was a very long bodied, wide
topped bull with a big square hip, a ton of hair and large testicles. The four
Crosby sons we are offering for sale this year all display these attributes –
they are all high performing with lots of hair!

Pittsburgh is a standout! He is the highest performing bull in the pen this
year – he had an actual weaning wt. of 910 lbs on Sept. 1 and weighed 1510 lbs on Dec. 28. His ADG since weaning is 5.08 lbs/day with
a WPDA of 4.40 lbs/day! He has an impressive set of EPDs – his weaning EPD is +55.2 (top 1% of the breed), yearling EPD of +85.8
(top 3%) and a milk number of +7.4! His mother is an amazing Red Label daughter who we bought at the 2009 National Trust from Gary
Boon. Pittsburgh is a bull we are very proud to offer for sale. He is as quiet as a housecat – he would come into the porch if we let him.
He does have great performance, but is not a tall bull. He just has a lot of volume, very good muscle expression and is as long as a train.
Pittsburgh comes with a very attractive blaze face. We all talk about it – how the commercial man wants to keep some chrome on their
calves for that Simmental look. Well here is one of the best bulls you could find to assist in doing just that!
